| Pete Stevenson - receiving the player of year trophy belatedly |
|
It only took 30 years...but Pete finally got his reward in the end. His prowess as a defender for Brampton in the Hope Valley league won him the player of the year in 1971/2 season. At the time he only ever received a tankard. The voting for the player of the year was carried out by the opposition who voted for a man of the match. Pete was a great defender who rarely ventured over the half way line.
